Important Information.
You must be able to provide your original Windows Operating System
disk, or the OEM recovery disk that was provided when you bought your
computer. If neither is available, it may still be possible to repair
your system if you can provide the unique 25 digit Microsoft Windows
Product Key which can be found with your Windows CD-ROM, on the
Windows manual or on a sticker somewhere on your computer.
You should also provide any driver disks supplied when you bought the
machine. If the virus or malware infection has damaged your system
beyond repair, it may be necessary to re-install your Windows
Operating System. This may involve the destruction of some or all of
the data present on the computer
You should ensure that ALL important data is backed up, as the
Windows hard disk may have to be reformatted.
What's covered?
The Malware & Virus Removal Service covers
all collection and delivery charges; and the removal of malicious
software and/or spyware. Where possible your personal data will be
removed prior to the cleansing process, and re-installed when the
offending software has been removed.
What's not covered?
Repairs to any additional modules
or components found to be faulty during the initial inspection process.
The re-installation of any
software which is not part of the Operating System, drivers or data
damaged by the presence of malicious virus software or malware.
* Please Note: The nature of
virus infections means that pc-homeservice cannot be held
responsible for any loss of documents, photographs or other personal
data destroyed in the repair process. On completion of the service,
your computer will be free of virus and/or malware infection, however pc-homeservice
cannot accept responsibility for any subsequent infection caused by
connection to the Internet or downloading email.
